Bonding is something that has not been seen for a very long time. It is a very powerful magic that binds to souls together. Most all magical being stopped using this as they saw humans just trying to use them to gain power. But the centaurs of all beings brought it back by enslaving humans.
Unicorns started first. One would go put in the Humans parts of the world and watch the humans, seeking for the right one; one who was pure in body and mind. Once they had found such a human they would start to show them selves, slowly; gaining the trust of the human with care. Some times this would take years but now it can't take as much time as if once did. Then would come the time when the unicorn would let its mind voice be heard by the human. He would stand still and wait for the human to walk forward with a hand held out. :By powers that be and with the power that I hold here I bind myself to you. Or fates are forever intertwined.: the old and powerful words would be said by the unicorn as the humans hand touched his muzzle.
Thus human and unicorn were bonded. A mind bond that is powerful. It is beautiful and terrifying at the same time. There fates and souls are now and will forever more be one. There are no hidden thoughts between them. Both may mind speck (use telepathy to talk with there minds) and no one else can here in. if on is hurt than the other feels that pain, maybe not as if it is there own pain but they feel there bond-mate is hurt. If one does it is like a part of you dies with them and most the time with one dies the other follows soon after if not stopped. A male of a female may be bonded with a unicorn but most the time is it females. Unicorns see them or the purest of humans and are drawn to them more then to the males.
The bond with a centaur is different; although it is no less powerful for the human the centaur because he is so evil and possessed with darkness can not really feel this bond. The word of power and the same, they just do it to get a human who will do anything for him. There is no love in it. The centaur will warp and twist the mind of his human and sooner or later the human will go insane. For the most part males are bonded with centaurs because they see the greed and lust of the male heart.
